DONE DEAL: 49ers sign 2 players to first team  ahead of Week 15 vs. Cardinals

The 49ers are preparing for some of their injuries with standard elevations.

The San Francisco 49ers made a few roster moves ahead of their Week 15 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday.

As a part of their weekly standard elevations, the 49ers have promoted defensive tackle T.Y. McGill and running back Jeremy McNichols to the active roster from the practice squad.

The 49ers will be without a few key players on Sunday, as defensive tackles Arik Armstead and Javon Hargrave will be out against the Cardinals with a foot and hamstring injury, respectively.

Additionally, San Francisco will miss running back Elijah Mitchell (knee), tight end Ross Dwelley (ankle), and linebacker Oren Burks (knee) on Sunday.

McGill will serve as defensive tackle depth with the 49ers down both of their starters, and figures to join a rotation headlined by Javon Kinlaw and Kevin Givens.

McNichols likely serves as the No. 3 running back on Sunday, as he will back up Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason, who will take over the top backup role against Arizona.

Elsewhere, the 49ers have four additional players who are questionable for Sunday’s game: cornerback Charvarius Ward (groin), linebacker Dre Greenlaw (hip/ankle), and offensive linemen Aaron Banks (hip) and Spencer Burford (knee).
