Goal of the month Award as Nottingham Forest striker leading the race

Emmanuel Dennis is one of five Nottingham Forest players in contention for the club’s March 2023 Goal of the Month award.

On March 17, in only his fourth Premier League start of the season, the Super Eagles striker repaid the manager’s faith by opening the scoring at the City Ground as Forest were defeated 2-1 by Newcastle United.

Dennis was celebrating his second goal in Nottingham Forest colors 26 minutes into the game.

The 25-year-old kept his nerve and head, chipping the ball through the gap and into the net from an angle despite the best efforts of Magpies defenders Kieran Trippier and Sven Botman to get back.

Brennan Johnson, Alex Mighten, Amy West, and Yas Mosby are the other four candidates for Nottingham Forest’s Goal of the Month.

Dennis’ other goal for the two-time European champions came in a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on October 10 at the City Ground.

The former Watford midfielder appeared in all three of The Reds’ matches in March.

He has played in twenty games for Steve Cooper’s team and has been directly involved in four goals.
