Most times in the world of sports, it feels like an eternity has passed since a team’s moment of joy, but in the case of the Chicago Bears, it’s been a very long wait.

Not only are the Bears 0-3 in the 2023 season, they have lost their last 10 games of the 2022 season, and 13 of their last 14 games overall.

The team’s last victory came on October 24, 2022, when they defeated the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football in Foxboro.

The 13-game losing streak is the longest in Bears history, according to Pro Football Reference, and they also have the longest home losing streak in history, having lost their last eight games at Soldier Field.

Fortunately, they still haven’t matched the Bears’ record for longest road losing streak, losing 16 straight road games in Chicago from 1976 to 1977. Now comes the really depressing part of the experience.

It has been 338 days since the Bears last won a regular season game, and 367 days without a win at home. That means it’s been a full year since they last won a home game at Soldier Field. Fortunately for the Bears, they’ll have a chance to change that Sunday when they take on the Denver Broncos at Lakeside.

The Broncos have a slight lead in the game, but they just gave up 70 points to the Miami Dolphins, so there may be some eternal hope for the Midway Monsters.
