DONE DEAL: Browns Announce Hire of Ken Dorsey and Three Other Assistants to Coaching Staff

The Cleveland Browns announced the hiring of four assistant coaches including offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, running backs coach Duce Staley, tight ends coach and pass game specialist Tommy Rees and defensive line coach Jacques Cesaire.

Ahead of his press conference Monday, the Cleveland Browns made the official announcement that Ken Dorsey was their offensive coordinator. Along with him, the team announced Tommy Rees as the tight ends coach and pass game specialist, Jacques Cesaire as the defensive line coach and Duce Stay was to be the running backs coach.

While all of these hires had been reported and confirmed, the team had not made the official announcement. Dorsey, a former quarterback with the Browns, has coached Cam Newton with the Carolina Panthers and Josh Allen with the Buffalo Bills, helping to oversee the best seasons of their respective careers.

“Ken has worked with and elevated some of the top quarterbacks in this league and will bring a fresh approach to our offense. He knows what it takes to be successful at that position as he was one of the most successful college quarterbacks of all time and that has helped him become a tremendous coach. He has a history with this team and knows what the Browns mean to this city. We are very excited to bring in Ken as offensive coordinator.” – Kevin Stefanski via the team’s press release
