According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United scouts have recommended Franck Kessie to the club as a prospective addition in this month’s transfer window.
Eddie Howe is looking for a top-tier holding midfielder, and the club is keeping tabs on Ruben Neves’ position at Wolves.
The Magpies’ scouts are working hard to provide choices to Howe in response to his desire for a holding midfielder, and they have offered Kessie.

The 26-year-old, who is now on the books of La Liga giants Barcelona, is available in the January transfer window, but Newcastle may not pursue him.
Other solutions, it is alleged, are currently chosen over Kessie.
It remains to be seen whether Newcastle reconsiders going for Kessie this month.
Kessie has made just eight La Liga appearances for Barcelona this season, being booked three times.
One of the Ivory Coast international’s yellow cards was issued during Barcelona’s El Clasico loss to Real Madrid.
