Son Heung-min becomes the first Asian player to reach 100 Premier League goals.

Tottenham Hotspur’s South Korean forward Son Heung-min scored his 100th goal in the English Premier League, becoming the first Asian to do it.

Son scored the game’s first goal in the tenth minute against Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London on Saturday, helping the side to a 2-1 victory. Harry Kane also scored in the second half.

Son’s goal was his eleventh of the season and his 100th in the Premier League.

Before joining Tottenham in August 2015, Son scored 41 goals in the German Bundesliga for Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen.

Son, who is in his ninth season with Spurs, becomes the first Asian player to score 100 Premier League goals and only the 34th player in Premier League history to do so.
