Supercomputer deliver shocking Nottingham Forest prediction in final Premier League relegation battle

Latest Nottingham Forest news and gossip as a supercomputer predicts the final Premier League table including a prediction for whether or not Forest will avoid relegation

Nottingham Forest’s final position in the Premier League table has been predicted by a supercomputer.

The Reds are currently preparing to face Luton Town in the top-flight contest this weekend, in what will be the club’s final fixture before the March international break. Forest are 17th in the table and three points above the relegation zone.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team lost 1-0 to Brighton last weekend in what was the club’s third consecutive loss in the Premier League. Forest are now without a win in the Premier League since the 2-0 victory over West Ham on February 17.

Forest now have just 10 Premier League matches left to try and secure their top-flight status at the City Ground for another season. The Reds have a three-point advantage over 18th-placed Luton, who they face on Saturday, with the Hatters also having a game in hand.

Opta Analyst has provided the latest prediction for the final Premier League table based on the recent set of results. The table also includes Forest’s predicted final standing in the league table.

According to the prediction, Forest’s most likely final position is 17th, which would see the club avoid relegation. It has been predicted that the Reds have a 36.5% chance of finishing 17th, which is deemed to be the most likely outcome.

Forest also apparently have a 20.8% chance of climbing the table up to 16th. A final position of 15th is predicted to have a 13.2% chance, while 14th (7.2%) and 13th (1.7%) are deemed to be unlikely possibilities.

The prediction also says that Forest still have a chance of being relegated to the Championship. It has been stated that the Reds have an 18.6% chance of finishing 18th which would see the club relegated.

A more unlikely possibility are Forest finishing 19th (1.5%) and 20th (0.1%) in the prediction. In total, the prediction states that Forest have a 20.2% chance of being relegated, compared to a 79.8% likelihood of maintaining their Premier League status for a third consecutive season.
