n front of a live Sky Sports audience, Luton Town will welcome Everton to Kenilworth Road.
With three games to play, we just cannot afford to not win, even more so with, if the rumours are confirmed, Nottingham Forest will see their recent points deduction reduced.
Of course, many supporters will point out, even if we don’t beat Everton, we’re not mathematically down, but I just have that gut feeling Friday is the do-or-die fixture for the Hatters.
With Everton recording three wins in a week, the pressure on the Toffees has reduced, they will be experiencing another season of top-flight football.
Indeed, the recent form of both teams shows just how hard a task Luton Town face, with Everton taking 13 points from the last 18 available compared to the Hatters 3 from the 18 available.
Furthermore, despite being in a precarious position for most of the season, don’t concede goals easily with only the current top three – Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool, having conceded less this season.
It will, indeed, be a night where the Hatters support will need to create that special night-game atmosphere, something they are well capable of.
As for predicting a result, those who voted in our pre-match poll remain positive with 64% of the opinion that their team will add another 3 points to their total, while a further 14% are predicting the points will be shared.
As for the other 22%, they reckon another nail will be hammered into our relegation coffin with Everton winning.
As for me, I’m just praying that we don’t have to travel to West Ham United knowing we have to win to ensure the relegation fight continues!
