Two Nottingham Forest players and Tammy Abraham rave about £3m star

Callum Hudson-Odoi was a standout player for Nottingham Forest and he’s received praise from a host of teammates past and present.

The 23-year-old has been a quality signing for Forest at £3 million. On Saturday he took his tally to eight for the campaign.

Scoring against the club he signed from was always in the script and perhaps interestingly, the player did celebrate.

The player curled home with 14 minutes remaining of Saturday’s clash – although Forest were still beaten 3-2.

Hudson-Odoi was praised by his current and former teammates after the game as the Reds all but secured their survival.

In recent weeks Hudson-Odoi has been brilliant for Forest and what a signing the club have made.

He has now scored eight goals for the Reds. On Saturday he scored with something that feels a bit like a trademark for him now.

After getting the ball he quickly cut onto his right foot and curled the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

After the game, Hudson-Odoi received praise from current Forest teammates Divock Origi and Gonzalo Montiel, with Tammy Abraham also sending him a post on Instagram.

Montiel called the player ‘Maquina’ which translates as machine in English.

Origi and Abraham sent wordless responses with a star and a love heart used respectively by the two strikers.

Hudson-Odoi could be even better next season

The reason Forest managed to get Hudson-Odoi so cheaply is largely down to his injury record in recent seasons.

He suffered a serious Achilles injury and has simply craved some luck on that front.

Getting a run of games under Nuno Espirito Santo has helped him and in recent weeks he’s been outstanding.

Hudson-Odoi scored twice for Forest against Sheffield United and it was perhaps fitting that he offered a reminder to Chelsea of what they’re missing.

Next season will also be a big one for Hudson-Odoi and with a full pre-season under his belt, he could do even better next season
