Pierre van Hooijdonk played for Nottingham Forest, where he scored 41 goals in 77 games.
Sydney van Hooijdonk, according to The Athletic, might follow in his father’s footsteps and join the Premier League club. Nottingham Forest have the 23-year-old on their scouting lists but have yet to express an interest.
Van Hooijdonk is under contract with Bologna, but after making only a few appearances in Italy, he joined Heerenveen on loan in the summer. Van Hooijdonk has 16 goals in Friesland, 13 of which have come in the Eredivisie.
Van Hooijdonk has intimated in recent weeks that he wants to move up in the summer, and Nottingham Forest could be the destination.
