Coventry City have shortlisted Mitchy Ntelo this summer to bolster their forward line, as per Sacha Tavolieri.
Coventry City will be looking to finish inside the top six of the Championship this season after a poor end to the 2023/24 campaign saw them miss out.
Mark Robins has built a very strong Sky Blues side, one that reached the semi final of the FA Cup last season, only losing on penalties to the eventual winners, Manchester United.
They have some good options in forward areas, but it seems they want to add more firepower.
Ntelo, 23, currently plays for Lokomotiv Plovdiv in Bulgaria. He made the move to Bulgaira in January from Belgian side R Charleroi SC.

Across the 2023/24 season he made 29 appearances across two countries and four competitions. He scored six goals and assisted a further four.
Now, Tavolieri reports Coventry City are eyeing up the 23-year-old. However, FC Khimki in Russia have tabled a bid of €700,000. This does fall well short of Plovdiv’s asking price of over €1.2million.
No time to rest
Coventry City have done very well in recent years. Their rise back to the Championship has been complimented nicely with the club competing towards the top six the vast majority of the time.
Their success is a credit to Robins’ superb management and the solid recruitment.
Ntelo is somewhat of an unproven talent and the former Belgium U19 international is yet to show he can do it on a stage as tough as the Championship, but his performances are attracting interest and there’s definitely raw talent there.
Time to settle
Coventry City have the likes of Ellis Simms, Haji Wright, Matt Gooden and even Fabio Tavares breaking through who are solid options up top.
This sort of depth means that should Ntelo be added to the ranks, the pressure on him to deliver instantly would be minimal and therefore he should be allowed to settle into English football and the demands that come with it.
Robins has proven himself as more than capable of protecting and developing young prospects and the sky blue shirt is one of the best to wear in the football league for youngsters coming through.
Despite a poor end to last season, things still look bright at Coventry City and they are a contender for a play-off spot as things stand next season.
