“Wassim is a player I’ve known since he came to the League of Ireland a couple of years ago and a player I’ve found very difficult to set a defence up against,” Glentoran Manager Declan Devine said, speaking to the club’s website.
“He will offer us different attributes to those already at the club. Wassim is still at an age where we feel he has the qualities to have a wonderful future ahead of him and we’re delighted he’s committed to Glentoran.”
Aouachria departs Galway United midway through the season having arrived at Eamonn Deacy Park last summer and helping the Tribesmen to the First Division title.
The striker joined Galway from Waterford and between spells at the two clubs he scored 19 goals in all competitions.
The former Charlton Athletic man looked set to make a bit impact for the Tribesmen on their return to the Premier Division but an injury in pre-season stalled his progress and he ultimately made just five appearances this season for John Caulfield’s men.
