Brennan Johnson has shown his support for injured Nottingham Forest teammate Neco Williams, who was rushed to hospital.
Williams suffered a face injury during Liverpool’s 3-1 Premier League win over Brighton on Wednesday. The 22-year-old was stretchered off and transported to the hospital.
Forest earned their first victory since defeating Leeds in February thanks to an own-goal, a superb finish from Danilo, and a penalty from Morgan Gibbs-White. With five games remaining, Steve Cooper’s side has moved out of the relegation zone.
However, in the aftermath of Wednesday’s victory, Johnson’s attention was inevitably drawn to the health of his fellow Wales international teammate, as Reds coach Cooper delivered an update on his condition.
“I caught a glimpse of Neco walking away and saw blood.” Let’s hope it’s not too bad. “Regardless of the outcome, his health comes first,” he stated.
And Johnson, who has already made 100 appearances for Forest, has expressed his support for the full-back on Instagram. “Thinking of you bro,” he added, followed by two praying and love emojis.
