Tottenham officials considering fast to sign premier League speed winger

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering signing Crystal Palace player Eberechi Eze as a replacement for winger Dejan Kulusevski, who could return to Italy.

Spurs are now spinning many plates and dealing with a slew of unsolved concerns ahead of the impending summer transfer window, especially their search for a new manager and sporting director.

The latter two difficulties take precedence, with chairman Daniel Levy reportedly cutting his managerial shortlist to only a few names as he seeks to replace Fabio Paratici before the end of the Premier League season.

As things stand, both long-serving goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and star striker Harry Kane’s contracts are set to expire next year, and Levy must merely re-sign the latter.

Despite these concerns, Spurs have been aggressively hunting for prospects for the summer window, with James Maddison (Leicester City) and others firmly on their radar.

There has been some concern about the future of winger Kulusevski, with Spurs yet to activate the buy-option in his contract, leading to rumours that he could return to parent club Juventus.

The Swede had a fantastic first season last season, making an immediate impact under Antonio Conte after signing in January 2022.

However, with Spurs still to sign him on a permanent deal, reports suggest they may be able to find a replacement.

According to one Spanish rumor, Tottenham “management” has been monitoring Palace star Eze as a “high impact acquisition” as well as a potential “star signing to replace Kulusevski.”

Kulusevski is expected to return to Turin this summer, leaving Spurs without a replacement while they pursue a summer transfer for Eze.

According to this Spanish report, he is also worth approximately £26 million.

The 24-year-old has been in excellent form for Palace under both Roy Hodgson and Patrick Vieira, and is their highest scorer in the English Premier League (WhoScored).
