Super computer makes shocking Leeds United relegation prediction after Liverpool vs Leicester

Despite Leicester City’s 3-0 loss to Liverpool in the Premier League on Monday, 15 May, Leeds United are expected to be demoted.

With Southampton already relegated, Nottingham Forest, Everton, Leeds, and Leicester are vying for 16th and 17th place.

FiveThirtyEight’s Super Computer predicts Leeds will finish with 33 points, two fewer than Everton will need to remain up.

Going the Leeds route

Liverpool thrashing Leicester is undoubtedly the result that most Leeds fans would have preferred, and they will be relieved to witness the nature of the Foxes’ defeat.

Dean Smith’s team appeared to be lacking in belief and sad at full time, indicating that they had almost accepted their fate.

Leeds still have work to do, and while four points from their next two games may be enough, they need to win their first game under Sam Allardyce.

They gave Manchester City and Newcastle a good game, and there’s no reason to think they can’t do the same with West Ham and Tottenham.

While the Hammers are not theoretically secure, relegation would require everything to go against them, which is not happening.

They may also opt to rest players if they make it to the Conference League final, forcing Leeds to take the three points.
