The PFA Awards ceremony takes place in Manchester tonight (Tuesday August 20), with Lee and Mullin among six nominees for the 2023/24 League Two Player of the Year honour.

They are up against Notts County duo Macaulay Langstaff and Jodi Jones, and fellow promotion winners Davis Keillor-Dunn (Mansfield) and Paddy Madden (Stockport County).

Mullin scored 24 league goals last season, including hat-tricks against Morecambe and Accrington Stanley.

He also hit 14 in the final 13 games of the season to help secure promotion – scoring twice in each of the back-to-back home wins against Crawley Town and Forest Green Rovers that got us over the line with two games to spare.

Lee, meanwhile, scored 16 goals and contributed six assists across the league season, with his performances in the early part of the campaign particularly key when Mullin was out injured.

Lee’s penchant for important goals included late winners against Doncaster Rovers and twice against Sutton United, as well as the last-gasp equaliser in the thrilling 5-5 comeback draw with Swindon Town.

Voted for by their fellow players, the award winners will be revealed tonight.
