Leeds United are expected to announce the signing of Manor Solomon on loan from Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday with the player said to have undergone a medical at Elland Road on Saturday.
Solomon, 25, is looking to get his career back on track. The Tottenham star has endured a dismal 12 months after moving to Spurs last summer, after an eye-catching loan spell at Fulham in 2022-23.
After just six games for Tottenham, he tore his meniscus and only returned from the injury during pre-season at Spurs alongside Archie Gray. Solomon needed a loan move to get his career back on track.
Having rejected La Liga outfit Getafe, Solomon has chosen to join Leeds and underwent a medical at Elland Road this weekend following Friday’s away win over Sheffield Wednesday, a first of the season.
Solomon scored a stunning goal vs Leeds in second Rutter start
Back in January 2023, Georginio Rutter joined Leeds from Hoffenheim for a club-record fee of £25m plus £10m more in add-ons. He was handed his first start in The FA Cup, a 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley.
He only started three games during the second half of the 2022-23 season and the second came against Fulham in the FA Cup, in which Rutter had a goal disallowed for a push from player Weston McKennie.
Fulham won the match 2-0, with goals coming from now-Bayern Munich star Joao Palhinha and Solomon. One of his five goals for Fulham, he curled in a gorgeous effort from 20 yards into the far corner.

Solomon a brilliant signing but it leaves Farke with a headache
Losing Crysencio Summerville and Rutter meant that Leeds needed two attacking players to come in and they have done that, by signing Largue Ramazani and Solomon. But where does he fit them into the side?
Pascal Struijk has hinted at Wilfried Gnonto playing in the no.10 role with Rutter gone, while Brenden Aaronson is naturally a 10. Ramazani and James are wingers and not suited to play behind the striker.
But Solomon has that top-tier experience, that creativity and vision and ability to create something out of nothing that could see the former Shakhtar Donetsk ace play in the no.10 role for Leeds this season.
