Kaizer Chiefs will be returning to busy action this week.

Due to Stellenbosch FC’s CAF Confederation Cup commitments, Amakhosi spent the past weekend training. The action will return this coming week in Durban.

  • AmaZulu – Wednesday, September 25, King Zwelithini Stadium, 19:30
  • Mamelodi Sundowns – Saturday, September 28, FNB Stadium, 15:00
  • SuperSport United – Saturday, October 26, Lucas Moripe Stadium, 17:30.

BRADLEY CROSS

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi is steadily creating his new team and squad. Former Maritzburg United and Golden Arrows defender Bradley Cross is one of his new faces.

After 24 appearances for Golden Arrows last season, which season just a season after leaving Maritzburg United, Cross has secured a four-year deal with Kaizer Chiefs.

“Kaizer Chiefs are delighted to welcome their sixth signing of the current transfer window, Bradley Cross, from Golden Arrows. The talented left-back has committed his exceptional skills and versatility to Amakhosi for the next four years,” Amakhosi said.

“Cross, who as a teenager played for Schalke 04’s Under-19 team in Germany, as well as captained Newcastle United’s U21 and U23 teams in England, is known for his dynamic play and defensive prowess. He was a standout performer in the Premier Soccer League last season. His hard work was rewarded with a call-up to the national team, Bafana Bafana, by coach Hugo Broos,” Kaizer Chiefs added.

KAIZER CHIEFS ANNOUNCE INACIO MIGUEL

Amakhosi have made seven new signings and the latest is the 28-year-old Angolan central defender Inacio Miguel.

“The Portuguese-born defender was an integral part of the Petro de Luanda team that participated in the Caf Champions League and won Angola’s domestic league title last season. He has also appeared five times in Angolan national team colours,” Kaizer Chiefs said, as quoted by TimesLIVE.

The club’s Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr added to say:

“We are happy to have a player of Inácio Miguel’s calibre join our team. We’ve watched him and believe his experience, skill and passion for the game embody the spirit of Chiefs and will add a lot of positives in the team.

“We believe he will contribute significantly with his talent and we are looking forward to working with him as he writes another chapter of his career in South Africa,” Motaung Jr concluded.
