The game on Sunday against Aston Villa at Portman Road promises to be an exciting affair. The visitors are bang in form, but they have a vital Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich just three days later, so will their heads be turned?
We can only hope that their continued involvement in the Carabao Cup and those European exploits might work in our favour, and as we know, we are a force to be reckoned with at home! It will be a full house for this one and will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports and in Ultra HDR!
We have recovered from that phobia that seemed to make us under-perform in front of a live television camera, and we can go into this one with renewed confidence, having not lost in our last three Premier League encounters. Admittedly, we are still yet to win but our only two defeats have come at the hands of Liverpool and Manchester City so far. I believe we might surprise the Villans, and if we get an early goal anything could happen. Aston Villa have fightback ability, just like us, so it promises to be an enthralling encounter. We need more goals so will Mckenna start to rotate his squad?
I have a feeling he might and for two good reasons. 1. We are not scoring enough. 2 Dramatic team changes often fool the opposition. Our defence looks sound enough so I do not expect any changes there, and in midfield, I would expect Kalvin Phillips to partner captain fantastic Sam Morsy, assuming of course our loan player is fit. It is in attack where I think he might re-shuffle the pack. He may be tempted to bring in George Hirst and place Liam Delap on bench-warming duties. He might also select Chiedozie Ogbene at the expense of Wes Burns – or even bring Conor Chaplin back into the fold as a ten. Much will depend on availability but I do think there will be changes up front. We have to exploit our home advantage so who would you bring in?
