On two instances, Arsenal ‘tried to sign’ Nottingham Forest’s star.
According to reports, Arsenal attempted to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Danilo twice previously.
In the January transfer window, the 22-year-old midfielder joined Forest from Brazilian club Palmeiras, and he has scored three goals in 13 starts from midfield as the Reds secured their Premier League status.
He is now being considered for a return to the Brazilian national squad, and it has been revealed that Premier League powerhouse Arsenal attempted to sign the Forest player twice previously.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal most recently attempted to recruit Danilo last summer, but both bids failed due to “various reasons” that were not given in the story.
Danilo has been linked with a move to one of the Premier League’s ‘biggest’ clubs. Former teammate Dudu stated last month, “For me, he needs to play in the Premier League.” ‘You have to play for Manchester United or Arsenal,’ I always tell him.
“It happens at those clubs.” But you must remain calm and keep your head in place. He’s a player who marks, enters the attack, creates space for the attacking midfielders, and assists in defense. He is the complete player in my opinion.”
