Former Kaizer Chiefs star Keagan Dolly appeared to be edging closer to a return to football.

The talented winger was released by Chiefs at the end of last season, following a two-year spell at the club.

Last week, Dolly made the headlines after reports suggesting he’s close to signing for SuperSport United surfaced.

Now, reports have emerged claiming the midfielder is merely ‘keeping fit’ under Gavin Hunt.

No United move for former Kaizer Chiefs ace?

“While it was widely reported that the former Sundowns man might find himself on the books of United, the Mgosi Squad has been reliably informed that Dolly is just training with the club to keep fit,” a Citizen report read.

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has reportedly taken a decision on the immediate future of rising star Manqoba Ozoemena.

The 19-year-old Diski Challenge star, who travelled with the first team to Turkey for their pre-season camp, has left a lasting impression on Nabi.

Nabi however feels the youngster should be sent out on loan to continue his development journey.

According to the latest reports, Kaizer Chiefs are looking at potential options for the attacking midfielder.

Kaizer Chiefs youngster set for loan move

“The coach believes in Manqoba. He really likes the kid, but for now, he thinks he needs to gain experience hence the need for the team to send him on loan,” an insider told Soccer Laduma regarding Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Manqoba Ozoemena.

“You know he is just 19-years-old and he has a great future but they don’t want to throw him in the deep end without proper experience and the loan to a PSL side would help him develop further as a player and be ready for next season.”

Next three Kaizer Chiefs league fixtures

The Amakhosi now enjoy a lengthy Betway Premiership break before tackling SuperSport United on 26 October.

Four days later, Nabi’s side travel to the Peter Mokaba Stadium to face the newly-promoted Magesi FC.

Kaizer Chiefs then host Royal AM on 09 November at the FNB Stadium. How many points will Nasreddine Nabi’s side collect in their next three matches?
