Who is Cedric Kaze?

Burundian coach Cedric Kaze quickly became a top candidate to work alongside head coach Nasreddine Nabi as his new assistant. The pair know each other well after working together for Yanga SC. Kaze is the former Burundi National Team coach and has worked with the U17s, U20s and U23s, as well as spending over two years with FC Barcelona’s youth sides. He advocates a meticulous approach to planning, analysis and tactics. He’s also fluent in six languages, namely French, Kirundi, Kiswahili, English, German, and Spanish.

Cedric Kaze will be a key communicator to bridge the gap

SABC Sport is reporting that Kaze, fluent in English, will play a significant role with press duties while head coach Nabi continues to polish up in that regard. The Tunisian has made great strides but still uses a translator during press conferences and match day interviews.

Olunga in Chiefs’ crosshairs

30-year-old Kenyan legend Michael Olunga bagged a hat-trick in the first match of this season’s Qatar Stars League. In his entire club career, he’s scored a stunning tally of 190 goals in 253 matches. In his last 61 league matches in Qatar, he’s scored a ludicrous 62 goals. To say he’s Kenya’s greatest is probably an understatement, but perhaps brother duo Victor Wanyama and McDonald Mariga would like a word. Chiefs are considering an ambitious move for the man valued at R115 million, but his wage demands and signing-on fee will likely be prohibitive
