Having said that, the judgment is still out on his managerial abilities, despite winning the Scottish Premiership with Rangers in his first season in charge in 2020/21.
However, Gerrard lied to mislead at Villa, and Unai Emery has turned them into a whole different beast since taking over, demonstrating that he still has a lot to learn about managing. Some Leeds fans may be skeptical of his employment since they believe he and Frank Lampard are given roles because of their playing careers and high-profile statuses.
