Leicester City must be fearful of one Nottingham Forest star rivalling Mo Salah and Bukayo Saka

Leicester City are back in Premier League action on Friday evening against Nottingham Forest.

Steve Cooper’s side head into the game on a fine run that has seen them pick up six points from their last two Premier League fixtures.

The Foxes now have a very welcome six-point buffer between themselves and the relegation zone, sitting 14th in the league table ahead of kick-off at the King Power Stadium.

Facundo Buonanotte can join an exclusive Premier League club vs Nottingham Forest and will need to be in top form if he is to help Leicester see off a side who have fallen to defeat on just one occasion this season.

After coming off the bench to change the game and help complete the comeback versus Southampton, Abdul Fatawu is predicted to start for Leicester vs Nottingham Forest.

Leicester City should be fearful of one Nottingham Forest star

Nuno Espirito Santo has got his side playing some excellent football this season and while they have drawn four games, they have fallen to defeat just once.

Veteran centre-forward Chris Wood has already found the net five times in the Premier League this term and will prove a tough test for Leicester’s centre-backs on Friday.

However, Cooper and co. should be very concerned about another Forest man, who is currently competing with Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka.

Forest’s Elliot Anderson is one of only three players to create five-plus chances and complete five-plus dribbles in a Premier League match this season.

He did so vs Crystal Palace, creating five chances and completing six dribbles.

The only other two players to achieve that feat in 2024/25 were Salah vs Bournemouth and Saka vs Leicester.

How will Leicester City stop Elliot Anderson

Anderson has taken up a number of roles for Nottingham Forest this season, operating as a defensive midfielder, left-midfielder, and as a number 10.

He played as a 10 against Crystal Palace in what was his best game of the season so far, meaning Nuno will likely start him there once more vs Leicester.

This means the Foxes’ sitting midfielders will be tasked with keeping the former Newcastle United man quiet on Friday.

Oliver Skipp and Bilal El Khannouss started at the base of midfield for Cooper against Southampton but the Leicester manager may change things up against Forest after Harry Winks impressed when he came off the bench in the second half.
