The Foxes had a dismal season that ended with relegation on the final day of the season.
Brendan Rodgers was in control for the majority of the season, with Dean Smith taking over for the final few weeks, however the former Aston Villa manager was unable to ignite a comeback, and Leicester finished in the bottom three.
Since relegation was confirmed, the King Power Stadium hierarchy has been looking for a new manager, and it was reported that Potter was their first candidate.
The 48-year-old has been out of work since leaving Chelsea earlier this year, and he would be a huge coup for the Foxes given his work at Brighton. However, persuading him to drop to the Championship was always going to be difficult.
And, according to an update from Sun columnist Alan Nixon, Potter will not be joining Leicester, as he claimed the ex-Swansea manager had turned them down.
“I went in for Potter last week, but I believe they’ve moved on.”
Who will be the future manager of Leicester?
With the team not returning for pre-season for a few weeks, Leicester has plenty of time to find their next head coach, and it appears they will take their time.
