BREAKING: Harry Winks issues damning verdict on Leicester City season so far amid Manchester United message

Harry Winks has now shared his thoughts on how Leicester City have fared in the 2024/25 season so far.

Leicester City returned to the Premier League following their domination of the Championship in 2023/24.

However, the Foxes have not had the best start to life back in the top flight.

Steve Cooper is coming under more pressure after losing 5-2 to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup and drawing with relegation favourites Ipswich Town last time out.

Leicester fans want Jose Mourinho to replace the former Nottingham Forest manager at the King Power Stadium and it is easy to see why.

The Foxes are leaking goals right now and are currently sat 16th in the Premier League table, just five points above the relegation zone.

Harry Winks on Leicester City season so far

Now, midfielder Harry Winks has shared his thoughts on how Leicester have played so far in 2024/25.

And it is fair to say that the Englishman is not exactly pleased with what he has seen from his players to this point.

Speaking on the When You’re Smiling podcast recently, Winks expressed how disappointed he is with Leicester right now.

He said: “We like to think that we would be in a better position by now points-wise and in the table. We are not in the worst position, but with the quality that we have in the dressing room, it’s disappointing.”

Harry Winks message ahead of Manchester United

After being thumped 5-2 last week, Leicester must now face Manchester United once more on Sunday.

The Red Devils are viewed by many as the favourites but Winks has urged his Leicester teammates not to adopt an undergo mentality for the game.

He added: “I think United are in a transition period with the managers. We played them the other day and it was a strange game.

“We are a good team, it’s important we go into the game with the mentality that we are not the underdogs [of the Premier League] but with the mentality of why not go in and impose, control the game and try and go there and compete.”
