Leicester City could very easily replace Steve Cooper with three currently available options.
The Foxes have endured a tricky start to the 2024/25 Premier League campaign, and whilst they currently sit out of the relegation spots by three points, their performances have still been far from convincing.
The recent showing away at Man United, in which Leicester City were undone 3-0, which included an own-goal from left-back Victor Kristiansen, was a prime example of the side being set up incorrectly, and current Foxes boss Steve Cooper simply put this down to a concerning lack of belief and desire in the squad.
As a result of the heavy defeat, some Leicester fans have gone as far as calling for Cooper to be relieved of his duties as team manager going into the international break.
If the Leicester board were to take some proactive action with Cooper’s future and move him on, here are three clear options that they could approach to be his successor…
Graham Potter
Leicester City could very easily swoop in for a move for currently out-of-work man Graham Potter.
The Englishman, who was the predecessor for Cooper at Swansea City, notably delivered plenty of success during his time at Brighton in the Premier League, handing them their highest ever finish in the top flight at the time, which was 9th.
Potter then moved on to Chelsea, however his short spell at the London-based club was not so successful and only lasted 31 games.
Leicester City were in-fact after Potter in the summer, but opted for Cooper as an alternative.
David Moyes
Another option that Leicester City should certainly consider is Scottish manager David Moyes, whose most recent spell at West Ham United remains one of his best throughout a managerial career spanning 26-years.
He notably led the Hammers to a Europa Conference League victory after beating German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the final.
He is also regarded as a survival specialist in the Premier League, and has only faced the drop once, which happened in the 2016/17 campaign with Sunderland.
Edin Terzic
One ambitious move that Leicester City could make is another that was previously linked to the club after his departure from Borussia Dortmund, and that is Edin Terzic.
The 2023/24 campaign saw him reach the Champions League final with the German outfit, bowing out to Real Madrid in the final.
His managerial career only spans four-years, however his stint with Dortmund was certainly a positive one in regards to European success and that would certainly translate into being a top Premier League manager for Leicester City.
