The Kaizer Chiefs injury list extends.
This time it’s goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari who has picked up a niggle, during Rwanda’s 2-1 victory over Nigeria.
It was in the 69th minute when AmaKhosi’s number one was forced off the pitch – there is yet to be an update on the severity of the situation.
Ntwari has played every minute of the Kaizer Chiefs 2024/25 campaign, producing inconsistent results that have put his spot under pressure, with many believing it’s Brandon Petersen’s time between the sticks.
Mokwana off the cards
The future of Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana was uncertain after his new club Esperance had evoked a breach of contract – however, the former Kaizer Chiefs target looks set to stay.
Lawyer Kabelo Mashigo confirmed these rumours, saying, “Yes, there was a breach of contract between employer and employee, and when we raised it on Friday, Esperance told us that they had some issues which they needed to be sorted for that breach to be rectified and they have since done that and Elias [Mokwana] will now have to honour his contract with the team.
“He has a three-year contract with the team, and he is going back after Bafana Bafana game to honour that contract because Esperance have now honoured their part of the contract.”
