West Ham in hot negotiations with agent as key player request for double £60k-a-week pay

West Ham United is expected to offer Jarrod Bowen a new contract.

Jarrod Bowen can expect to treble his £60k-a-week salary at West Ham, according to the Daily Mail, with only two years left on his current contract at the London Stadium.

Bowen, 26, was not at his best for the Hammers this season. Despite this, he managed 13 goals and nine assists in 54 games for West Ham (Transfermarkt), including the game-winning goal against Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final.

The Hammers signed the left-footed forward from Hull City in January 2020 for roughly £18 million (The Daily Mail). He recently stated that he was on the verge of relocating to Newcastle before deciding against it.

Fortunately, David Moyes won the race instead. He’s been an excellent player for us over the last three and a half years. And it appears that he may be staying in East London for even longer now…

Jarrod Bowen’s contract was claimed after his performance for West Ham in the Europa Conference League final.

According to the Mail, the 26-year-old Hammers ace is set to sign a lucrative new contract.

That is also correct. We all know Jarrod hasn’t been at his best for much of this season, but he’s been amazing for us since 2020.

The former Hull City star’s next aim will be to achieve the level where he scores 20 goals and assists 10-15 times per season.

He’s undoubtedly capable of doing it. And I expect him to reach new heights in the next 2-3 years if he continues to work hard and apply himself appropriately off the field.

Jarrod Bowen’s strike for West Ham against Fiorentina on Wednesday night has already cemented his place in history.

Let’s hope he, the squad, and the supporters have many more evenings like the one in Prague. Let’s hope his new deal does not create complacency, which I am confident it will not.
