Club reply back as Tottenham offer player plus cash to sign £30m Sevilla star

Mi vamos Tottenham Hotspur reportedly made a player-plus-cash offer to Sevilla in order to capture goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.

Several outlets have stated in recent months that Bounou is one of the candidates on Tottenham’s radar to take over the gloves from Hugo Lloris this summer.

The latest such update came earlier this week from AS, which revealed that the Europa League final against Roma, in which the Moroccan saved two penalties and became a hero, is expected to be his final game in a Sevilla shirt.

Tottenham have had their eye on Bounou for many months and even enquired about his availability during the winter transfer window, according to the report, with the North London club set to revive their interest in the 32-year-old this summer.

Spurs offered cash plus Bryan Gil in exchange for a new keeper.

Mi vamos Sevilla have now claimed that Spurs are aware of Sevilla’s wish to keep Bryan Gil on loan at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

The Premier League team apparently offered a’small price’ plus Gil in exchange for Bounou, but the La Liga club supposedly rejected the deal.

Sevilla, on the other hand, is said to have offered Ange Postecoglou’s side a sum of roughly €30m-€35m (£25.7m-£30m) for their number one.

Spurs Online Opinion

Given that he is now 32 years old and has only two years left on his contract, I cannot see Tottenham or anybody else paying around £30 million for Bounou.

Furthermore, it appears that the Lilywhites are seeking for a replacement for Lloris closer to home, with Raya and Pickford proving to be the primary names on the club’s radar.
