€30m Agreement reach and Spurs very satisfied as players set to sign for Tottenham this week

Barcelona hopes to finalize a permanent deal for defender Clement Lenglet with Tottenham next week.

According to Sport, a low-cost arrangement is in the works but will most likely be clarified between both clubs next week.

According to the newspaper, Barcelona is attempting to reduce their payroll bill as quickly as possible and is working on numerous fronts to do so.

They need to get players out of the squad, and Lenglet is likely to be the first to leave the Camp Nou because his ‘agreement is close.’

Tottenham have ‘already stated their wish’ for the Frenchman to stay, and the player has agreed to the swap because he knows igo Martnez has taken his spot at Barcelona.

Until recently, the primary issue has been the transfer fee, but it now appears like Barcelona may back down and accept Tottenham’s offer.

A meeting between the two clubs is planned for next week to finalize the deal, which is expected to be inexpensive for Tottenham. Barcelona had previously requested €12 million, but a bargain might be struck for half that amount.

The main point is that Barcelona would save roughly €18 million in pay every year, and perhaps more than €30 million in the long run, a considerable savings in their efforts to reduce the club’s salary bill.

Tottenham are’very satisfied’ with what they’ve seen from Lenglet during his summer loan, and will offer the defender a long-term contract that ensures he doesn’t lose out on what he earned at Camp Nou.
