Tottenham edge three top clubs in race to sign 22-year star defender

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in signing the 22-year-old center defender, according to Dean Jones of Give Me Sport.

Guehi has established himself as a crucial player for the Eagles, and his Premier League performances have been outstanding. It’s no surprise that Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in signing him this summer.

Tottenham think they have an advantage over their London rivals in the transfer chase, according to Jones.

Spurs, it appears, will be able to provide the 22-year-old with first-team assurances, and the youngster may be enticed to join them as a result.

It is no secret that Spurs will have to improve defensively and they need to bring in a reliable partner for Cristian Romero. On the other hand, Arsenal must look to add more depth to their defensive unit. The injury to William Saliba weakened their defence severely towards the end of the season and they need a bigger and better squad to compete across multiple competitions in the upcoming season.

The 22-year-old Crystal Palace defender possesses all of the qualities required to play for a top club and has the potential to develop into a vital player for Arsenal or Tottenham. Guehi needs to play regularly if he is to establish himself as a regular for England ahead of Euro 2024, and the 22-year-old is likely to be enticed by Tottenham if they can guarantee him regular first-team games.
