Newcastle United have reportedly made contact with the representatives of Stade Rennais midfielder Desire Doue.
With four goals in 34 appearances in all competitions, the 18-year-old attacking-midfielder has been a regular for Rennais in Ligue 1 and the Europa League in 2022-23.
Newcastle have expressed an interest in the intriguing teenage talent, according to iNews and the player’s agent, former Manchester United and Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre.
The Magpies are said to have scouted Doue and analyzed his circumstances, but have yet to make a move. The player is valued at roughly £12 million and has drawn interest from clubs like as Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Doue is under contract at Stade Rennais until 2025, with no decision on his future made so yet. The dynamic teenager can play in a variety of midfield and attack roles.
