Aston Villa keeping eagle eyes to sign £73m Manchester United fast electrifying forward

Aston Villa are interested in Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho this summer.

Aston Villa are interested in signing Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho during the summer transfer window, according to Rudy Galetti of Dello Sport,

The article also claims that the Red Devils are eager to trade the England international, who joined the club two years ago from Borussia Dortmund for roughly £73 million.

Villa will have European football to offer to Sancho after securing Europa League status for next season under Unai Emery.

So far, the winger has been unimpressive in a Manchester United shirt. In 79 appearances with the Red Devils in all competitions, the former Manchester City youth player has only scored 12 goals and assisted six.

This is in stark contrast to how brilliantly he was performing for Dortmund. According to his statistics, the 23-year-old scored 50 goals and assisted 64 in 137 appearances across all competitions.

Even in the FA Cup final a few weeks back, the Englishman remained unnoticed, and his replacement Alejandro Garnacho made a bigger impression in fewer minutes.

Considering all of this, it may not be a bad idea for United to let Sancho go this summer. It could be beneficial to the player as well, as the United shirt appears to be too hefty for him at the time.

Furthermore, the team could use some money from player sales to make significant additions during the transfer window. If they buy a striker, Marcus Rashford will be able to play on the left wing full-time, which is where Sancho prefers to play.

A transfer to Villa might free up Sancho to excel there. He is still a young player who can resurrect his career in the West Midlands before moving on to a bigger team (in current terms).
