Romaine Mundle, a Tottenham Hotspur youth, has revealed his departure from the club in an Instagram post.
Tottenham Hotspur are ready to embark on a new era under Ange Postecoglou, and it is an exciting time for everyone at the club. It’s a new beginning for all of the veteran players, and the youth should be excited about the prospect.
Mundle is one of Tottenham’s most promising young players, but he has stated that he would not return to work with Postecoglou.
Romaine Mundle has confirmed his departure from Tottenham.
Tottenham has a plethora of great young players in its system, but they all tend to depart before they get a chance.
Dilan Markanday was one such player who left Spurs last year, and Romaine Mundle, another intriguing youngster, is poised to do the same.
The 20-year-old has been with the club since he was a child. He rose through the ranks at the academy and even saw time on the senior bench.
However, he was never given the opportunity to make his Tottenham debut, and as a result, he will be leaving the club.
“After an incredible 15 years at my boyhood club, the time has come to close this chapter,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I will be eternally grateful to everyone who has helped me along the way at Tottenham, from the coaches and club staff to my incredible teammates.” Thank you for everything, @spursofficial, and best wishes for the club’s future success!”
Mundle was not without choices when he considered leaving Tottenham.
The teenage winger ultimately felt that moving abroad would be the greatest decision for his development, and he has signed with Belgian club Standard Liège.
Mundle has already had a medical there, according to Fabrizio Romano, and all that remains is for him to put pen to paper.
Tottenham will, however, be compensated by the Belgian club.
