After retaining the Bundesliga title last weekend, Bayern Munich has begun working on summer transfers. The record Bundesliga winners have various areas to fix in the transfer window, none more critical than the striker position. Following the general annual meeting, it appears that Bayern has a new number one target for the number nine post.
Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is back on the table for Die Roten. Rekordmeister is also interested in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani, but it appears that the Bavarian club has begun negotiations to sign Vlalhovic.
According to Goal Italia, Die Roten and Juventus have held preliminary conversations in recent weeks. The player is valued differently at both teams, but Thomas Tuchel is pressing Die Roten to bring the Serbian attacker to Allianz Arena.
Manchester United and Chelsea are keeping an eye on Vlahovic’s status at Juventus, as both English teams are looking to buy a number nine this summer. However, Goal Italia reports that Bayern Munich is the club with the most interest in the Serbian attacker.
Juventus will try to recoup the €80 million they paid for Vlahovic at the beginning of 2022. Die Roten may try to reduce this sum down to €60-70 million. Both clubs have an excellent market relationship because they have recently worked on multiple agreements. The most recent transfer between these two clubs was Matthijs de Ligt. During the summer transfer window, the Dutch defender left Juventus to join Die Roten.
After his troubles at Juventus this season, the Serbian striker should be receptive to joining Bayern. He will also get the opportunity to play in the Champions League. Next season, Juventus will compete in the Europa Conference league.
Vlahovic had a rough season in Turin, but he possesses all of the characteristics of a deadly striker who can thrive in the proper setup. Vlahovic can certainly return to his best next season, given the opportunities Die Roten produces every game. The following few weeks will be crucial in this deal, as Bayern will want to complete it as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane is unlikely to make an appearance in Bavaria. The English striker has been widely associated with Die Roten since the start of the season, but according to SportBild, he will play in the Premier League next season. Vlahovic and Kolo Muani appear to be in a two-horse fight to become Die Roten’s future number nine.
