Full agreement reach as Totttenham-linked star set to join club

Brighton & Hove Albion are still making changes to their roster ahead of the Premier League season.

Albion have agreed to sign Romanian winger Adrian Mazilu in the January transfer window with FCV Farul Constanta.

“Adrian is a player we have been watching for a while, and we are now looking forward to him joining us next year,” said technical director David Weir.

“We have reached an agreement with Constanta, and we will monitor his progress until January before deciding on his next steps.”

Adrian, 17, has represented Romania at all junior team levels, from under-15 to under-21, and he just appeared for Romania at the European Championships this summer.

He came into the Constanta team last season, making his debut in the Romanian Cup in November, and has played 23 senior games, scoring seven goals.

Previously, the attacker has been linked with moves to Roma, Fiorentina, Bologna, and Tottenham. Gheorghe Popescu, a former Tottenham and Barcelona player, earlier told reporters through ProSport, “I would like his path to be an upward one, to continue the good path, he also has incredible physical qualities, an incredible sense of goal!” He has the potential to be a great striker.

The transfer will be completed once the window opens in January, pending all regulatory permissions.
