NBA fans blown off over new change of Jaylen Brown’s potential $304 million contract with Boston Celtics

The amount of money Jaylen Brown might receive in his next contract extension with the Boston Celtics has NBA fans stunned.

Brown and the Celtics have yet to reach an agreement on an extension, which is expected to be delayed as Brown travels overseas on NBPA business. However, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Brown’s next contract may include a five-year agreement worth up to $304 million. That would make him the highest-paid player in the league, with the possibility of earning $70 million in the fifth year of his contract alone.

Naturally, it surprised many NBA fans who have been following all of the free agency deals. While some are just pleased that Brown has the opportunity to make such a large sum, others are perplexed as to why this is the case.

“Jaylen Brown is eligible for a 5-year/304-million-dollar Max extension.” In year 5, his pay might be worth $70 million!! “That NBA bag is LOUIS,” FOX5 DC’s Chad Ricardo wrote.

“The NBA’s largest contract ever awarded to a player with only two all-star appearances and one all-NBA selection on his resume!” “That is absolutely mind-blowing stuff right there,” another Twitter user commented.

“Sheeesh,” a third fan said. 70 mil?? I mean, I believed he deserved the maximum punishment. I’m not sure how much it was. “Salty fs, Tatum.”

Nothing has been finalized, and Jaylen Brown may end up agreeing to a different deal with the Celtics. Regardless, the money will be life-changing for the Boston wing.
