Joao Felix is unlikely to remain at Atletico Madrid by the end of the summer transfer window, despite returning to pre-season training this week.
Felix is not thought to be in Diego Simeone’s plans for the new season, thus he will be allowed to depart this summer, whether on another loan or permanently.
Felix has attracted little attention, with only a few clubs interested in signing the Portuguese international. That number has dropped even further, with L’Equipe stating that Jorge Mendes offered Felix to PSG, but the French champions turned him down.
Marca journalist David Medina stated that Paris Saint-Germain have turned down the opportunity to sign Felix, and he also reported that only Aston Villa are currently in the running to sign the 23-year-old.
Felix’s future at Atletico Madrid is becoming increasingly uncertain, and he may wind up staying in the Spanish capital this summer, despite the fact that he is unlikely to see any playing time under Simeone.
