Leicester City confirm two Championship games have been rescheduled in the month of September

Leicester City have confirmed that two of their Sky Bet Championship fixtures have been postponed for September.

Sky Sports has informed that two of Leicester City’s September league fixtures have been rescheduled for live broadcast.

One of the rescheduled games is the Foxes’ trip to Southampton, which will now take place at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 15.

Another City game has been moved the following week, when Enzo Maresca’s men travel to Norwich City. That game will be played on its original date – Wednesday, September 20 – but will now kick off at 8pm.

Those games will be the sixth and seventh fixtures of City’s Championship campaign, as Maresca looks to lead his team back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. New signings Conor Coady, Harry Winks, Callum Doyle and UMads Hermansen have already arrived at the club.

Maresca is reportedly on the verge of completing his sixth summer signing, with former Arsenal forward Stephy Mavididi set to join Leicester from Montpellier.

Meanwhile, fans will not see Harvey Barnes in a Leicester shirt again as he nears a deal to Newcastle United. This week, the 25-year-old got a medical as he prepares to return to the Premier League and Champions League.
