Fans go crazy as Boston Celtics star man issues strong warning to the entire NBA

Right now, everyone is talking about Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics.

The Georgia native recently made news for signing the NBA’s largest contract, a supermax contract extension for $304 million over five years.

Brown’s standing as a rising star in this game has never been questioned.

However, many people have criticized the Celtics for spending so much money on him, despite the fact that he is not the best player on his team.

According to Jared Weiss of The Athletic (via Legion Hoops), he took the luxury of sending a bit of a warning out there, letting the rest of the league know that he hasn’t even reached his prime yet.

Notably, Brown is coming off some brutal showings in the playoffs, turning the ball over constantly and struggling to go this left.

But he’s been the Celtics’ most consistent player of the past couple of years, even outplaying Jayson Tatum in the NBA Finals two years ago.

Of course, whether he’s deserving of the league’s most valuable contract is another matter entirely, but the Celtics didn’t have much of a choice.

Brown might have simply walked away when his contract expired next season if the Celtics didn’t offer him the maximum, especially given how frequently he was linked to trade rumors.

That type of money should come with a lot of responsibility, and it will be up to him to prove that he was worth every penny.
