Tottenham considering a move to sign €24m FC Porto 31-goal striker this summer

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing FC Porto attacker Mehdi Taremi during the summer transfer season.

Tottenham are having a successful summer, but there are some concerns because forward Harry Kane just has one year left on his contract.

Gianluca Di Marzio, a journalist, has now reported on Spurs’ interest in the forward.

He stated that the ‘Spurs are in discussion’ with Porto over forward Mehdi Taremi. The club is willing to make a £20 million offer, while Porto is seeking for £25 million.

With Kane allegedly drawing a lot of interest from Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, it comes as no surprise that they are looking for another striker.

There is no doubt that Spurs have made contact with Porto regarding the 31-year-old striker. Taremi appears to be quite productive, and despite his age, he could be an excellent immediate signing for Spurs.

In 342 games across all competitions, the striker has 179 goals and 85 assists. This is an excellent total for a forward.

If Kane does leave this summer, they’ll need someone with this kind of tally. The ‘ridiculous’ forward would also provide the club with some fantastic attacking depth.

Tottenham failed to qualify for Europe last season and will need to perform well this season. Finishing ninth is insufficient given their massive stadium and world-class training facilities.

In today’s transfer market, the attacker is also reasonably priced. It would be fascinating to see how he performed in the Premier League.

Spurs have made some excellent additions thus far, but they will need to make a few more to ensure a successful season.
