Ange Posteocoglou reveals fresh target identified as Tottenham next signing

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has acknowledged that the team is not yet finished with the summer transfer market.

Ange Posteocoglou has stated that he is still interested in bringing in another central defender before the summer transfer window shuts. The Australian made the statement in light of the arrival of Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg in a deal worth £43 million with add-ons.

Spurs may still make further changes to their backline, as Postecoglou is aware that several defenders may go in the coming weeks.

Joe Rodon is set to join Leeds on loan while Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga remain in talks over possible exits.

Speaking after the 4-2 defeat to Barcelona in Catalonia on Tuesday night, Postecoglou refused to rule out further reinforcements at the back.

When quizzed if another centre-back was on the agenda, the ex-Celtic head coach replied: “Yeah potentially [signing another central defender].

“Once again, we have to make sure that we keep the squad manageable and see what happens with outgoings, but the potential to bring in one more is there.”

Tottenham have added Torino’s Perr Schuurs to their transfer target list.

Crystal Palace are also interested in the Dutchman, who joined Torino from Ajax last summer.

Ajax would be entitled to 15% of any fee Torino receives, implying that the Italians will likely drive a hard bargain.
