Fans react as Nottingham Forest £10m star makes honest confessions about City Ground

New Nottingham Forest signing Matt Turner has opened up about life in Nottingham after his summer transfer from Arsenal.

The 29-year-old American international goalkeeper joined the Reds in a deal worth up to £10 million, with the former Arsenal man admitting he’s settled into life well at the club and in the city.

On the pitch, Turner has impressed Forest fans with his performances, despite the competition from fellow new signing Odysseas Vlachodimos.

In his six Premier League games so far this campaign, Turner has made 20 saves at an average of 3.3 per 90.

Speaking to The Athletic, the goalkeeper admitted that he loves the city and has settled into life well in Nottingham.

“I like Nottingham a lot. Nottingham is a great city, it’s a great community.

“The club is fantastic and the atmosphere from the fans and the connection is great

“It’s a huge honour and it’s something I wear with tremendous pride.

“I feel really comfortable in the city, it already feels like home to me and my family and I’m excited to continue that journey.”

Although the Reds suffered defeat against Manchester City this weekend, the American number one should hold his head up high. He was powerless with both goals once again and ultimately, he’s been a great replacement for Dean Henderson so far this season.

Turner has been showing some quality form of late. He’s now in full possession of the gloves and he will hope to keep his place in the team after his impressive start to life in Nottingham.
