A video is circulating on social media following the Baltimore Ravens win over the Cincinnati Bengals that isn’t making one fanbase look good. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had to leave the game in the first half following a wrist injury. He was unable to return.The Bengals led the Ravens 10-7 at the time of Burrow’s injury. Following Burrow’s exit, the Ravens cruised to a 34-20 victory. The win cemented the Ravens as the favorites to win the AFC North. The Bengals are unlikely to make the playoffs after Burrow was ruled out for the season due to the wrist injury.
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews will be out for quite a while after suffering an ankle injury during last week’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals that will require surgery. And while there’s still a slight chance he could be back at some point in the postseason, it’s clear that quarterback Lamar Jackson is going to miss him in the offense.
Mark Andrews has been sort of a security blanket for Lamar Jackson in recent years, leading the team in targets three out of the past four seasons. This season, he ranks behind only Zay Flowers in terms of targets. With him now out for the foreseeable future, it’s going to be an adjustment for Lamar Jackson.
“That was my No. 1 guy when I got off script. Me and him are going to have a connection somehow someway,” Jackson said according to the Baltimore Ravens official team website. “Just Mark being him, doing things to put us in great situations. We’ll miss that a lot.”
In his absence, the Ravens will need tight ends Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar to step up and fill the void, but they’ll also need more production out of their wide receivers as Andrews was the team’s most reliable downfield threat, as well
