Manchester City have announced that Erling Haaland could still feature this season after suffering an ankle injury during Sunday’s FA Cup win against Bournemouth. The Norway international endured a chaotic afternoon on the south coast when he missed a penalty but later dragged his team back into the game before going off injured.
The incident occurred in a challenge with Lewis Cook as his ankle rolled awkwardly underneath the Bournemouth star. Haaland received treatment but could not continue and was ultimately replaced by Omar Marmoush, who later scored the winning goal.
