Aston Villa finally beat Liverpool in concrete steps to sign £52m Seria A speed king

Aston Villa have apparently made a significant attempt to sign Federico Chiesa ahead of Liverpool and other interested parties.

The dynamic Italy international has been linked with both Unai Emery’s Villans and Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.

Tuttosport – through Sport Witness – mentioned Villa, Liverpool, and Newcastle in relation to Chiesa’s future on Sunday.

The Reds’ chase ‘never waned,’ and the Magpies had followed him even before they went after Sandro Tonali.

Aston Villa, on the other hand, have taken ‘solid moves’ to sign the 25-year-old forward.

However, in a setback for the Villans, Chiesa has stated that their proposition ‘does not convince’ him at this time.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Liverpool had made ‘initial contacts’ with his agent, Fali Ramadani.

La Repubblica claimed earlier this month that Arsenal had also entered the race for Chiesa.

In our opinion

Aston Villa, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Arsenal are all rumored to be interested in signing Chiesa.

This comes as no surprise. He is a gifted player who has yet to achieve his peak.

Chiesa is regarded as a’superstar’ in his native Italy.

However, his rumored asking price is around €60 million (£52 million).

That’s a lot of money for a player who hasn’t played in the Premier League and had a difficult season last season.

Nonetheless, Villa appear set on assembling a quality group that can build on their seventh-place performance.

Chiesa would be an excellent marquee signing for the Villans, but it will not be simple.
