Infielder Kolten Wong and pitcher Julio Teheran received invitations to the Orioles’ major league camp as non-roster invitees. Both players played in the major leagues last year, with Wong splitting playing time between the Mariners, Dodgers and Tehran Brewers.

In 2023, Julio Teheran began his career with the Brewers and had back-to-back quality starts. He started the first six games, pitching 35.1 innings and posting a 1.53 ERA. He was sidelined in late June and July, then missed the entire month of August due to injury. His return to the major leagues in September went smoothly, but he lost his roster spot late in the season and was written off before the start of the playoffs.
After eight seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals, Kolten Wong signed a multi-year contract with Milwaukee ahead of the 2021 season. He excelled defensively in his first season, hitting .272/.335/.447 with a 110+ OPS. A year later, he wasn’t playing above average defensively, but he was still a good player, hitting .251/.339/.430 with an OPS+ of 117. During the 2022-23 offseason, Wong was traded to the Seattle Mariners. He was unable to finish the year in Seattle and eventually joined the Los Angeles Dodgers as a starter after the season. Wong will now compete for a spot in the infield for the highly talented Baltimore Orioles.
