I AM LEAVING: Player glad to leave Brentford for specific club this summer as Bees man could face obstacle from his agent

Thomas Strakosha has made only six appearances for Brentford since joining them from Lazio in July 2022.

The goalkeeper faced competition from David Raya in his debut season at Brentford, and then from the Spaniard’s successor, Mark Flekken, last season.

Strakosha’s limited game time hasn’t impacted his position with Albania, and he played all three games for his national team at the Euros.

Despite Albania’s exit, FirenzeViola.it state the 29-year-old performances have caught

The stopper has two years left on deal, but the report claims he feels his time at Brentford has come to an end. Therefore, he ‘would gladly’ return to Italy, and Fiorentina would be an ‘excellent solution’ for him.

It’s claimed ‘there is an obstacle’ for the Serie A side to sign the Brentford stopper this summer. He is represented by Federico Pastorello, who also manages La Viola first-choice goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano.

FirenzeViola.it claim the representative doesn’t intend to make two of his clients compete for the same position at a club.
