“He wants to go to Brighton” – Peter Bosz worried about losing key man to Seagulls today

PSV Eindhoven manager Peter Bosz has confirmed that defender Oscar Boscagli wants to move to Brighton and Hove Albion, but the boss is hoping that he stays.

Bosz has been questioned about Boscagli today as the defender continues to push for a move to Brighton, with his comments relayed by journalist Rik Elfrink.

The Seagulls have been chasing the defender for weeks but found PSV Eindhoven hard to negotiate with. They’re not keen to lose the player, despite the fact he’s made it clear he wants to join the Premier League side

A new attempt was made on Thursday, with it made clear Brighton ‘absolutely want’ to secure his signature before tonight’s deadline.

A deal does not seem to be progressing, though, and Bosz has admitted he hopes the player will be staying.

“I see that he wants to go to Brighton, but that hasn’t happened yet. I hope he stays,” he responded when asked about the potential transfer.

It seems, then, that he’s as in the dark as everyone else over whether the transfer will actually go through or not.

At the moment there appears to be no progress on the matter, despite the player making it clear that he wants to join Brighton.

Perhaps the Seagulls need to put an offer on the table that the Dutch side simply cannot turn down, although given the bid money they’ve already spent this summer, there’s every chance that they don’t want to or can’t on deadline day.
